“The One Plus 8 Pro seems to have a curved edge-to-edge screen, with a pill-shaped cut-out at the top-right corner”
The One Plus 8 Pro, which is expected to launch in Q2 2020, has allegedly been spotted in the hands of a user in China. The successor to the One Plus 7T Pro seems to come with the same curved edge-to-edge screen, with no notch or bezel whatsoever. The selfie cameras on the One Plus 8 Pro, however, is housed within the screen instead of pop-up selfie cameras; we had published exclusive renders showing the same. However, as it turns out, the One Plus 8 Pro might sport dual selfie cameras instead of a single sensor in the front. As seen in the image shared on SlashLeaks, the upcoming flagship from One Plus will have a hole-punch at the top-right corner. This design looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphone from earlier this year.
The One Plus 8 Pro alleged live image.
The One Plus 8 Pro live images show it will house vertically-aligned cameras that’ll be slightly different from the setup on the One Plus 7T Pro. The dual-tone LED flash is oddly placed alongside the camera sensors. The handset is tipped to be a 5G model and has the ‘Alert Slider’ placed on the right spine and volume rocker and power button on the left. Lastly, the bottom edge of the phone seems to pack a microphone, speaker grill, and USB Type-C port for charging.
The One Plus 8 Pro is likely to come with fifth-generation cellular connectivity.
The renders by @OnLeaks had shown the handset to feature a punch-hole display with a single selfie camera at the top-left corner. The back panel of the phone, as per the renders, will sport a 3D ToF sensor placed next to the triple camera module, along with some supporting camera sensors and LED flash just below. The power button is placed on the right edge along with the power button, while the volume button will be on the left.
One Plus is yet to confirm the design, but we can tell you that the One Plus 8 Pro will most likely ship with 120Hz refresh rate display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 flagship chipset. The handset will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack and will launch alongside the One Plus 8.
